Can you help me with tax planning for my retirement investments?Absolutely! Our team specializes in retirement tax planning and can assist you in optimizing your investment strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize returns. We work closely with our affiliated wealth management company to develop tailored solutions that align with your retirement goals.
-
What are the basics of your process? We spend our first meeting doing what we call "discovery," where Ron or Nolan will ask questions about your situation, your goals, your work, your finances, what you value, and what the most important things are in your life. This usually also covers investment risk tolerances and general goals for your finances. From there, a variety of analyses will be provided to you based on your unique circumstances and we provide a second meeting going over these analyses and providing recommendations. Once recommendations are made, it's then up to you to decide if you would like to engage with our firm. If you do decide to utilize our company, we will provide at least semi-annual reviews, timely updates to investments, ongoing investment education as well as many other ancillary services as you navigate retirement.
-
How can you help me?We offer a variety of retirement planning services to help you meet your short- and long-term goals. We will help you adjust your plans as your retirement needs change. We also help you decide and apply for benefits like Medicare, Social Security, and supplemental insurance that goes above and beyond traditional wealth management.

What is an independent Registered Investment Advisor?A Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) is a person who gives investment advice for a fee. Federal and state regulations say that RIAs have a fiduciary duty, a code of ethics that guides all business dealings with their clients. This means they must always act in their clients' best interests. Independent RIAs are bound by the fiduciary standard. Being independent allows Cornerstone Retirement Partners to register with multiple insurance carriers and investment companies in order to maintain the most competitive and up-to-date lineup of investment and insurance options.

What is a Fiduciary?A fiduciary is bound by federal and state laws to put client interests first. The committee for Fiduciary Standards outlines five fiduciary principles 1. A fiduciary always puts the client's interests first 2. A fiduciary acts with prudence, skill, care, diligence, and good judgement of a professional 3. A fiduciary will not mislead the client and provides conspicuous, full, and fair disclosure of all important facts 4. A fiduciary avoids conflicts of interest 5. A fiduciary fully discloses any unavoidable conflicts and fairly manages them in client accounts
